Dental Implants are a great treatment option to replace broken teeth

A Dental Implant is a superior dental option to replace a single broken tooth.  They can placed at the time of extraction or delayed after bone regeneration.  The dental implants act as the base for the visible tooth that attaches to it.  Single implant cases are superior to other treatments due to several reasons.  They act and feel like your own teeth and are not removable like a partial denture, and do not require adjacent tooth preparations in order to support a fixed bridge.  Patients can floss and clean a dental implant like any other natural tooth.

Example of how a single dental implant can replace a single tooth

This patient presented with Maxillary Incisor Crown fracture and was interested in dental implants.  She was referred to me from her general dentist.  Extraction of the remaining root was completed, and a Straumann bone level Dental Implant was placed and restored approximately 4 months later.  Gingival recession was noted on the Maxillary Central Incisor due to surgical treatment and alveolar bone loss. The recession was fixed with a Class V filling and re-treatment of the crown at the Cental Incisor.  As a Periodontist, I have extensive experience and training with dental implants.  I have treated many patients with Dental Implants in the Oklahoma City area, and I’m excited to help you reach your dental goals today.
